I’ve loved Nick Bradshaw’s art since the first time I saw his work in Wolverine and the X-Men #4. I almost couldn’t believe my eyes! It was like someone has taken the essence of two of my favorite artists Art Adams and Jim Cheung then added a special new ingredient to create an all-new, all-different, all-awesome artist!
I met Nick at Special Edition NYC 2014 and I was amazed as I flipped through his portfolio of original art. His pencils are so detailed and expressive, the images almost jump off the page. I purchased this page because it’s a great splash page and I really enjoyed the Kid Gladiator focus story from start to finish.
All-New X-Men #25 (April 2014) featured amazing work from a number of great artists, but this piece by David Mack really left an impression on me. It’s an incredibly powerful and very kinetic image with Cyclops being put to the torch by an angry mob. The colors of the over-sized 12” x 18” original art are even brighter and more dynamic than the more muted published work.
